Louis William Pasquale of White Plains, formerly of Harrison and Mount Vernon, died peacefully at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx on Friday, September 18, 2026, at the age of 90.

Louis was the only son of Louis and Theresa Pasquale. He is predeceased by his parents and sister Barbara Van Cott (George). He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rosemary, his children, Karen (Robert) and Louis (Heather), his four grandchildren (Samuel, Isabel, Benjamin, and Ava), his sister Marie Mecurio (Danny), and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In 1954, after graduating from A.B. Davis High School in Mount Vernon, Louis enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Alaska during the Cold War. While playing baseball for the 3rd Battalion, he was scouted by the NY Giants. After receiving an honorable discharge from the Army, Louis played professionally as a center fielder for the Lake Charles, LA affiliate of the NY baseball Giants. An arm injury ended his baseball career, but his record remains in the archives of the Baseball Hall of Fame. Louis then went on to work for the Westchester County Department of Public Works, retiring in 1997. Louis also worked many nights as a bartender at Alex & Henry's in Eastchester.

He loved and avidly watched all sports, but most especially baseball, and in particular, the NY Yankees. He understood the game intimately and enjoyed speaking about it with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed the music of Frank Sinatra and other artists of that era, and had an enduring interest in politics and current events.

A defining characteristic of Louis's life was his love and affection for his family. He always made a great effort to see and keep up-to-date with his extended family, whose company he enjoyed immensely. Louis was a devout Roman Catholic and a devoted husband and father who worked hard for his family, often holding down two jobs. He and his wife Rosemary were blessed with a long and happy marriage during which they supported and loved each other through life's inevitable ups and downs. He will be remembered by his family and friends for his kindness, loyalty, good sense of humor, and beautiful blue eyes.
