Loretta Rock

Loretta Rock, a life-long resident of Westchester County, peacefully passed away at her home at the age of 79. She was born to John and Margaret Rock and grew up in Hartsdale, N.Y. She attended Sacred Heart Elementary School and Good Counsel High School. She worked for CIBA-GEIGY. She later graduated for Pace University/Westchester Medical Center as a registered nurse. Loretta worked for Westchester County Medical Center for over 25 years. She loved nursing and ended her career working on the kidney transplant unit. Loretta was known for her love for animals and even completed an African safari. She rescued many cats throughout her life providing them with love, care, and compassion. She is survived by her brothers, John Rock of Carmel, N.Y, and Jim Rock of Henniker, N.H. and many nieces and nephews. She was a longtime parishioner at Mt. Carmel Catholic Church.
