Linda Frances Cerqua

Linda Frances Cerqua of Thornwood, N.Y.  passed away peacefully on November 8, 2022 after a very brave and hard fought battle with cancer.  She was 57 years old.  Her sisters Lori and Christina were by her side.

Linda was a lifelong New York state resident. She was born in the Bronx, New York on June 18, 1965, to Joan and Thomas Cerqua.  The family then moved to Westchester County.  She graduated in 1987 from Pace University in Pleasantville, New York.

Linda’s first job was at Sears and Roebuck in White Plains, New York as a manager.  This position kick-started a career in retail and supply chain management.  She’s worked at Sterns, Nine West and most recently Revlon.

Linda was an avid traveler.  She’s been to Europe several times and most recently to the Arab Emirates. Her favorite destinations in the USA included Las Vegas, Atlantic City, and Florida.  Linda also loved to cook for family and friends. She received great joy in caring for her dog Sprout, who will remain on the family.

She leaves behind her father Thomas (Diane), sisters Lori Novella (Joseph) and Christina Garibaldi (Frank), niece Ana, Aunt Faye, and many cousins and friends.  She is pre-deceased by her mother Joan.

Linda was such a unique and wonderful person and will be missed so much by everyone that knew her. Although we are devasted by her passing, we are comforted in knowing that she has no more pain and will be reunited with her beloved mother in Heaven.

The family would like to thank the wonderful management at Revlon.  They have been very helpful and extremely supportive during a very difficult time.

A private family burial will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, New York.
