Leatrice Marilyn Palmer, or Lee as she was called, was born on August 26,1924 in Brooklyn, NY and passed away August 13, 2024, two weeks shy of her 100th birthday. She was a devoted friend, wife and mother and loved by all who met her. 

She was the loving wife of Ralph J. Palmer who died in 2013, and the loving and proud mother of Matthew (deceased 2018)and his wife Braca , Lynn and JoAnna and had 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. 

Lee moved from Brooklyn, NY when she married her husband in 1948 and raised their family in White Plains, NY.

Lee held the title of Storyteller for 25 years at the White Plains Library and created magical moments for children of all ages. After retirement Lee transitioned to be head of the White Plains Library bookstore where she was an active volunteer until five months ago. 

In 2022 she was awarded the prestigious LEE PALMER DAY from the Mayor of White Plains with a Declaration for a woman who served her community with distinction for her service all these years.
