Lawrence Nevins

Lawrence (Larry) Nevins, 69, of White Plains, NY passed away at Briarcliff Manor Center, Briarcliff, NY on March 4, 2020.  He was born in Yonkers, NY on June 12, 1950 and was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard J. and Jacqueline L. Nevins.  He is survived by two brothers, Chris Nevins and his wife Eileen of Hampton, NH and Jerry Nevins and his wife Debbie of Redding CT as well as several nephews, grand nephews and one grand-niece.  Larry was a graduate of White Plains High School.  Larry’s early years were filled with many memories of beach vacations to Rye Beach, NH, enjoying many days in the Catskills with his parents and a visit to France, with his French cousins, where he learned to speak some French and experienced scouting with the French Boy Scouts. One of his best friends was “Rusty,” his Sheltie Collie, who followed him everywhere.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 2 Broadway, Valhalla, NY at 10 am, Saturday March 14, 2020. Interment, Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Greenburgh, NY to follow. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations may be made at an animal shelter or charity of one’s choice.
