Konam Choe was born in 1941, the fourth of five children to Kyung Soon Choe and Oh In Oh. He served in the Korean military as a KATUSA soldier; then protected the peace in Seoul as a police officer in a motorcycle unit. He emigrated to the US in 1977 with his wife and 3 young daughters to live the American dream. Konam was a proud and successful immigrant by owning and operating various businesses including gift shop and grocery stores, video and stationary stores, and a dry cleaning business. He was an avid golfer and known to sink a hole in one! He was an active member of the St. John Nam R.C. Church in the Bronx, and more recently, worshipped at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Hartsdale. He is survived by his loving wife, devoted daughters, and eight grandchildren. Konam's memory will be cherished by his friends and family.
