Khaimraj Persaud

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Khaimraj Persaud on September 5, 2024 at age 94 in White Plains, New York.

Khaimraj was born in Georgetown, Guyana and immigrated to the United States of America in 1985. He was the first born to his parents, Chan and Balram Persaud, and was the loving brother to his late sister, Sahodra (Flora) Sarran.

Khaimraj married his wife Norma Jasmattie on April 21, 1957 and spent 67 beautiful years together. They had five children, Nalini, Shanta, Mitra, the late Tageram and Bheesham. Father-in-law of Shanna, Jeffrey, the late Robin and Neville. He was the grandfather of Robert, Roland (Ariel), Sasha, Jeffrey Mark, Jaclyn, Amanda, Alicia and Safraz. Great grandfather of Oliver Paxton, Oaklyn Ellie and Penelope Maya. Uncle of Rudy (Fazella), Paul (Sandra), Leila (the late Jimmy), Indra (Terry), Savita (the late Azimodeen) and Jagdesh.

After his retirement, he spent many relaxing years with his children and grandchildren whom he loved dearly.

May he rest in peace eternally.
