In Loving Memory of Kayvan Khatibi

Kayvan Khatibi, beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend passed away suddenly at the age of 51. The first son of his family was an older brother not only to his siblings but to everyone fortunate enough to know him. Kayvan had the biggest heart. Not everyone always saw the depth of his love, but those that did knew how generously he gave it. He was a friend to many from all walks of life, a soul who connected effortlessly not only with people but with animals as well. His late dog, Pepper, was his best friend and constant companion. Their bond was unbreakable.

Creative and artistic, Kayvan had a unique way of seeing the world and expressing it. With his big brown eyes and warm presence, he lit up a room with humor and animated story telling. He had a gift for making people laugh, always delivering lines with perfect timing and a broad smile. A proud Yankee fan, he especially loved cheering for the team along side his dad, sharing a bond over the game that will always be remembered. Beneath his jokes was a heart that felt fiercely,

In his final moments, Kayvan was surrounded by his family who loved him dearly. Even in death, his generosity continues - Kayvan was a self-registered organ donor, and through that personal and powerful decision, he is now saving the lives of others. His light lives on in those he's helped. He leaves behind parents who cherished him, brothers and sisters who adored their big brother, nieces and nephews who looked up to their uncle, cousins who shared countless memories with him, and friends who will miss him beyond measure. Though words can never capture his full spirit, we remember him as a wonderful human being with a heart as big as his laugh - a son, a brother, an uncle, a cousin, a friend and a soul we will carry with us always.
