Karl Wolfgang Weinbacher

Karl-Wolfgang Weinbacher, a long time resident of West Harrison, passed away at the age of 71 on Sunday, January 8. He is survived by his beloved wife, Vallerie, his mother, Gertrud, daughter Erika and dog Nola. He is predeceased by his stepfather, Erik Uppgard, and dear wire fox terrier Scruffy.

Karl was born in Hamburg, Germany in 1951, and migrated with his mother to the US when he was six years old. He was a jovial man who loved to make people laugh. Everyone loved having Karl around. He was an avid New York Mets and Jets fan, and stood by his teams no matter the outcome. He was a loyal employee of Bessemer Trust Company for 41 years, where he worked in portfolio operations. It was the only company he worked for throughout his career.

A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, January 21, at 11:30a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua in West Harrison. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Heart Association in Karl’s name.
