Julia P. Sanford 81, of Hawthorne, N.Y. and formerly of Carmel, N.Y. Died on July 29, 2007 at her residence. She was born on Oct.14, 1925 to Paul and Julia (nee Soka) Fitos in NYC. Julia was a retired Executive Secretary with Western Electric in NYC. Julia is survived by 2 sons Steven Palecek and his wife Kathleen of Carmel, N.Y. and Lawrence Palecek and his wife Colleen of Murrells Inlet, SC 2 loving nieces Katherine Palitz and Joan Lewis and her husband Brian both of Hawthorne, N.Y. Also survived by 4 grandchildren Laura, Eileen, Kelly and Lawrence Palecek and 7 great grandchildren. Reposing Hawthorne Funeral Home on Tuesday and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Thursday 10 AM. Interment St. John's Cemetery, Middle Village, N.Y.
