Judith Penziner

July 22, 1931 — February 1, 2022

White Plains

Judith Kutcher Penziner was a resident of White Plains, NY, formerly of Washington Heights, NYC.

She was the beloved wife of Michael Lawrence Penziner, daughter of Victor Kutcher and Teresa Poch Kutcher, sister of Phyllis Jacobs, and Charlotte Shechter, loving mother of Jane Penziner Dausch, and predeceased by Vicki Penziner Matson, and Donald Penziner.  She adored her grandchildren Justin, Ryan, Lauren, and Kira Dausch, as well as her great grandson Benjamin Dausch. Judy was an involved, loving and caring aunt and great aunt, and an amazing friend to so many people whom she considered family.

She graduated from The Calhoun School in NYC in 1949, and immediately met and fell in love with her co-camp counselor and husband-to-be of 70 years, Michael, who was deeply devoted to her. She attended NYU for two years until leaving to marry and raise a family. Judy worked for many years as a merchandiser for Monet Jewelry.

She was an avid reader, a proud liberal, a continuous lifelong learner, and had a passion for animals and nature. She volunteered for many years at the Rye Nature Center, assisting with the early education classes.

Known by all for her generosity, great storytelling, and detailed long term memory, her stories will live on through all those she loved.

A celebration of life will be planned in the spring. Donations can be made, in her memory, to:
