Josephine G. Melone

Josephine G. Melone 88, of Yorktown Hgts., N.Y. and formerly of Parkchester Section of Bronx, N.Y. died on July 7, 2022. She was born on Dec. 5,1933 to the late Louis and Louise (nee Argento) Zambito in NYC. After 25 years of being a homemaker and raising a family , Josephine went to work as a school bus monitor for deaf children and after many years of faithful service retired in 1995. Josephine was predeceased by her devoted husband, Michael J. Melone, Sr. in 2002 and also predeceased by her beloved son, Philip J. Melone in 2014 and her brother, Peter Zambito in 2021. She is survived by her loving son, Michael J. Melone, Jr. of Yorktown Hgts, N.Y. and two cherished nieces, Janice Calcagni and Louise LaFleur. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Thursday, July 14, 2022 from 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Shrub Oak, N.Y. on Friday, July 15, 2022 at 11 AM.
