Joseph T. Slavik

Joseph T. Slavik 72, of Hudson, N.Y. died on Feb. 4, 2019. He was born on Jan. 18, 1947 to William and Violet (nee Yelk) Slavik in NYC. Joseph was a retired truck driver with Greenpoint Fire Brick in Long Island City. He was predeceased by his devoted wife, Virginia (nee Petrone) Slavik in 2015 and his brother, William Slavik in 2005. Besides his mother Violet Slavik of Hawthorne, N.Y. Joseph is survived by his loving sisters, Mary Slavik, Ann (Patrick) Sementa, and Karen Quinlan all of Hawthorne, N.Y. and sister in law, Margaret Slavik of Brooklyn, N.Y. also survived by several nieces and nephews. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Saturday, 9 AM-10:30 AM. Funeral Mass, Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Saturday, 11 AM. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers donations to either, American Heart Association or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Memphis, TN, would be appreciated.
