Joseph M. Lovequist

Joseph M. Lovequist 87, most recently of Somers, N.Y. and formerly of Hawthorne, N.Y. died on Sept.26,2017. He was born on Jan.29,1930 to the late Otto and Elizabeth (nee Quinn) Lovequist in White Plains, N.Y. He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Joseph was retired owner-operator of All Weld Products in Elmsford, N.Y. He was a member of the Hawthorne American Legion and was an avid coin collector and golfer. He loved his family more than anything. Joseph is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Pura (Suarez) Lovequist of Somers, N.Y. and by his loving daughter, LouAnn (Timothy) Adams of Brewster, N.Y. also survived by his three cherished grandchildren, Kevin, Michael and Emily Adams. Predeceased by his beloved son, Gary M. Lovequist in 2013. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Friday, 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Saturday, 10 AM. Interment to follow at Mt.Calvary Cemetery, Greenburgh, N.Y.
