Joseph Imperial

Joseph George Imperial, 98, of New City, NY, and formerly of White Plains, NY  died November 24, 2021 of natural causes. He was born June 9, 1923 in the Bronx, NY, to George and Mildred (Diorio) Imperial. He spent 50 years as an educator administrator and mentor in NYC school system. Mr. Imperial finished high school at 15, graduated from Fordham and received a masters from Columbia. He was a WWII Veteran and pro baseball player. He was married to his childhood sweetheart Betty for 74 years. Joe is survived by his wife Betty (DiBernardo) of New City, NY , one son John three daughters Dr. Joanne (Matt),  Karen (Doug), and Lisa (Romeo). Grandfather of five Max (Belen), Amber, Alex, Chris, Hailey. Joe had a profound impact on so many lives and will be greatly missed. Pre deceased by two sisters Annette and Georgette Lattarulo. Reposing Hawthorne Funeral Home, Hawthorne, NY, Sunday 3 PM Thru 7 PM. Funeral Mass 11:30 AM Monday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Elmsford, NY. Entombment at Ferncliff Mausoleum, Hartsdale, NY.
