Joseph N. Giordano 82, of Fishkill, N.Y. and formerly of Thornwood, N.Y. died on March 18,2017. He was born on Feb.24,1935 to the late Michael Angelo and Maria (nee LaSorsa) Giordano in Mt.Vernon, N.Y. He was a retired electrician in NYC and later worked for Mt.Pleasant Schools at Westlake High School as Parking Lot Security, affectionately known as Mr.G to all the students. Joe was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, St.Dominic Council in Thornwood, N.Y. where he also served as Past Grand Knight where he also proudly lead the Basketball Free Throw program for many years. He is survived by his devoted wife, Ann (nee Scalone) Giordano of Fishkill, N.Y. and by his loving daughters, Maria Elena (Seb) Formoso of Cortlandt Manor, N.Y. and Michele (Boris) Lopez of Peekskill, N.Y. one sister, Teresa Ciccimarra of Thornwood, N.Y. and one brother, Nicholas (Marie) Giordano of Durham, CT. also survived by his three cherished grandchildren, Danielle and Sophia Lopez and Gabrielle Formoso and also survived by his nieces and nephews. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Wednesday, 10 AM. Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. In lieu of flowers donations to the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at Westchester Medical Center, 1 Kid’s Corner Valhalla, N.Y. 10595 would be appreciated.
