Joseph W. Finch, Sr

Joseph W. Finch, Sr. 83, of Hawthorne, N.Y. died on Dec.19, 2015. He was born on Oct.4, 1932 to the late Ernest and Catherine Finch in Jefferson Valley, N.Y. He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Joseph was a longtime member of the Hawthorne Fire Department.
He was a retired railroad conductor with Metro North Railroad in NYC. He is survived by his devoted wife, Rita (nee Ascenzi) Finch of Hawthorne, N.Y. and by his loving children, Joseph W. Finch, Jr. of North Myrtle Beach, SC., Sharon (Peter) Davis of West Hampton, N.Y. and Jeanine Peck of Montgomery, N.Y. two brothers, John (Joan) Finch of Bedford Hills, N.Y. Robert Finch of Mt.Kisco, N.Y. and two sisters, Patricia Fernandez of Mt.Kisco, N.Y. and Judy (Robert) Dickson of Mt.Kisco, N.Y. also survived by his five cherished grandchildren, Richard Peck, Jennifer Boch, Ashley Davis, Alison Davis and Ryan Davis and three great grandchildren. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Tuesday, 6-9 PM. Funeral Mass, Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel, at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Wednesday, 10 AM. Interment to follow. In lieu of flowers donations to St.Jude's Children's Hospital, Memphis, TN would be appreciated.
