Joseph A. Bruno

Joseph Alfred Bruno, a longtime resident of Scarsdale, NY passed away peacefully on September 21, 2022 at the age of 91. He was born on August 24, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Joseph Bruno and Antoinette. Joe was married to the love of his life Gloria Rose Colabella for 72 years and is survived by Gloria and his devoted daughter Deborah Bruno (Don Murray) of Key Largo, FL. He is predeceased by his brothers Alfred, Freddy and Russell and sisters Marilyn and Rosette. He is survived by his sisters-in-law Marie Lubin (Benjamin) and Ruth Shari as well as brother-in law Hon. Nicholas Colabella (Nancy). Joe was a loving uncle to numerous nieces and nephews including Pam, Claude, Alfred and Frank. He will be dearly missed by his close friends and business associates and dedicated employees.

Joe was a graduate of La Salle Military Academy and served in the U.S. Air Force. He was the founder and president of Joseph A. Bruno & Associates, Inc, an insurance agency located in Eastchester, NY. Joe was a long-time member of the Ocean Reef Club in Florida where he had a second home. In his free time, Joe enjoyed fine dining, home improvement projects, golfing and boating.

A private family service will be held on Monday September 26th at 10:00 at the Hawthorne Funeral Home. Funeral Mass, Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. at 11 AM. Entombment will follow.
