Joseph Amodio 85, of North White Plains, N.Y. died unexpectedly on May 28, 2022 at his residence. He was born on Sept. 7, 1936 in Los Angeles, CA. He spent his earlier years in Foster homes until he moved to New York City.

His education was limited. He was taught to read and write by Jean Arco.

He didn’t have any family but he understood how important family was.  Arco Cleaning was his family from 11-7-1957 to 8-31-2021. As a floor waxer he made many friends with his co-workers and customers adopting them as family.

He was a loyal friend to many people. Richie Mckechnie, Brooke Chaco, Christine DeGuisto, Jill DeGuisto and Andy Spadafino.

Joe lived in a modest apartment for 61 years in North White Plains.  His landlady, Margaret Zuzolo was very kind to him for many years.

Joe was well know as Cowboy Joe,  He would always wear cowboy hats along with playing Country Music as loud as possible.  His other interests were watching NASCAR and the Dodgers.

Joe was an avid bowler. He belonged to many leagues as a young man and won many awards.

Visiting at Hawthorne Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 29,2022 from 5-8 PM. Where services will be held at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to  Lemmfoundation.org. Joseph Lemm was a good friend that died a war hero in Afghanistan. Joes ashes will be scattered at his request at the gardens he tended to in Mount Kisco and North White Plains.
