On September 17, 1961, he married his wife, Priscilla and went on to have three children. John remained a devoted and loving husband for over 60 years. He was also a loving grandfather who participated in his grandchildren’s daily lives and was very proud of their accomplishments. John’s military career spanned 33 years including his years with the Air National Guard, and he was deployed for active duty on three separate occasions. Twenty-eight years of his service was with the U.S. Air Force, where he achieved the rank of Master Sergeant (MSgt).
