John F. Puma

John F. Puma, age 49, of West Harrison, passed away on August 28, 2026. Born on July 27, 1977 in the Bronx NY to Francisca Arranz and Carmelo Puma. John is survived by his loving wife Michelle Puma, his daughter Giulia Marie, his brother Michael and his sister Nicole, his niece Francesca and his nephew Christopher. John was a devoted husband to Michelle with whom he shared 12 wonderful years of marriage. He was an extraordinary father to his daughter, Giulia who was the absolute light of his life. He served his community for over 19 years as a United States Postal worker. Music was the constant background in his life, whether it was strumming his guitar or attending a live concert. He also had a lifelong love for sports and was a loyal supporter of the NY Jets and NY Mets. He had a natural gift for making people laugh and lighting up the room. Though his life here was cut short he will be tremendously missed by his family and friends.

His services will be held at Ballard-Durand Funeral Home at 21 W Stevens Ave Hawthorne NY 10532 on Wednesday September 2, 2026 from 4:00-9:00 P.M. A church mass followed by a burial will be held on Thursday September 3, 2026 at 10:00 A.M at St Anthony of Padua at 85 Harrison St. West Harrison NY 10604.
