John Robert Perney

John Robert Perney 89, of North White Plains, NY left his earthly home to join the love of his life Mary on January 6, 2022. He was born in Cleveland, OH to Alice and John Perney on Sept. 20, 1932. He is predeceased by his parents and his brother Norman. He is survived by his sister Lenore, his sister in laws, brother in laws, many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great grandnieces and great grandnephews. After spending many years as a Maryknoll Brother doing missionary work in both the Philippines and South America he met his beloved Mary and left Maryknoll to enjoy his marriage to her for 28 years. He then worked for Westchester County until his retirement and continued volunteering  in their archives department updating information on their computer system. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Tuesday from 9-11 AM. Funeral Mass, Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, NY on Tuesday 11:30 AM. Interment, Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, NY to follow. In lieu of flowers donations in John’s name to either Maryknoll or Jennings Hall 10204 Grainger Road Garfield Heights, OH 44125 would be appreciated.
