Joan S. Gallagher 77, formerly of Hawthorne and Wappingers Falls, N.Y. died on Nov.27,2021 at Waterview Nursing Home in Purdy’s, N.Y. She was born on August 24,1944 to the late William and Catherine (nee Oldam) Shepherd in Sleepy Hollow, N.Y. Joan is survived by her loving children, Scott (Karen) Gallagher of River Vale, NJ, James (Tricia) Gallagher of Newtown, CT, Catherine (Michael) Basile of Mohegan Lake, N.Y. and Mary Scagnelli of Mohegan Lake, N.Y. also survived by her eight cherished grandchildren, Steven, Kaitlin, Chris, Nick, Brandon, Amanda, Michelle, Joseph and two great grandchildren. Also survived by her former husband, Gerald Gallagher of Virginia Beach, VA. Predeceased by her brother, William Shepherd. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Wednesday, Dec.1,2021 from 10 AM-12:30 PM. Where Religious Services will be held at 12:30 PM. In lieu of flowers donations to the American Cancer Society, would be appreciated.
