Jeannette Therese Marino

Jeannette Therese Marino was born in New York City to parents Marie and John Pontolillo on April 25,1923 and passed away peacefully on December 4, 2022. Her family purchased a home in Brooklyn, N.Y. and she then attended John Jay Pershing Junior High School and Manual Training High School in Park Slope. Jeannette was a retired Registered Nurse who trained at The Brooklyn Hospital. She received her R.N. degree in 1944. While working at the hospital she was introduced to her future husband Dr. Joseph T.Marino who was a dentist on the staff at the hospital as well as a Professor at N.Y.U.College of Dentistry and they were married on June 1, 1946 at St. Catherine of Alexandria Church in Brooklyn, N.Y. In February 1966 she was offered a position as the School Nurse at Xaverian High School on Shore Road at 71 St. in Brooklyn where she remained until her retirement in 2002. During that time Jeannette was honored by being installed in the St. Francis Xavier Society for her many years of stellar service at Xaverian.
She is predeceased by her husband Dr. Joseph T. Marino who passed away on November 22, 1978
and 3 siblings  George Pontolillo, Marie Pontolillo and Thomas Pontlolillo
She is survived by her brother Anthony Pontolillo of Richmond Hill , N.Y.
Sisters- In Law  Katherine Marino of Whitestone, N.Y. and Ingeborg Pontolillo of Clermont , Florida
Her son : Dr. Joseph T.Marino and his wife Mary Alice Marino of Carlsbad, Ca. and her daughter : Marilyn Evans of New York City
Grandson : Joseph Thomas Marino and his wife Valentina Gissin of Coral Springs, Fl.
Granddaughter: Katherine M. Marino Phd. of Los Angeles , Ca.
Great grandson: Nikolai Gissin Marino
and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jeannette was a very beautiful,   compassionate and extremely generous woman who lived a very long and fulfilled life . She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Rest In Eternal Peace.
