Jean D'Ambrosio

Jean D'Ambrosio of Thornwood passed away peacefully on March 26, 2022. She was 94. She was born to Peter and Frances (nee Pondecorvo) Rocco on Nov. 3, 1927 in Eastchester, NY. She graduated from Eastchester HS in 1945 and married Marco D'Ambrosio of White Plains 3 years later.

She worked for Union Carbide for 25 years, retiring in 1992. During her retirement, she volunteered at Westchester Community College, and did knitting for various charities. She enjoyed country line dancing, reading, flowers, and Jeopardy.

She is survived by her oldest son Marc, nieces and nephews, 2 sisters-in-law Gloria and Caroline, also by Terry Bruno. She was predeceased by her loving husband, son Richard,brothers Frank, Norman, Carmine, and sister Florence. She was a loving woman who will be greatly missed.

Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Innocents Church, Pleasantville, NY on Friday at 9:45 AM. Interment, Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Greenburgh, NY to follow.
