James J. Roina

James J. Roina 51, most recently of Carmel, N.Y. and formerly of Hawthorne, N.Y. died suddenly on Nov. 30, 2018 at his residence. He was born on Feb. 4, 1967 to Anthony and Phyllis (nee Traficante) Roina in Queens, N.Y. James was employed by The Trustees of St. Patrick’s Cathedral in the City of New York and worked at various cemeteries including Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, N.Y. as a Computer Data and Records Specialist.  He was a lover of music, old movies and was a guitar player.  James is survived by his beloved parents, Anthony and Phyllis Roina of Kinderhook, N.Y. and formerly of Hawthorne, N.Y. and by his loving siblings, Robert G. (Lorena) Roina of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Anthony (Tony) (Laurie) Roina of Steamboat Springs, Col and Kathleen M. Roina of Bronxville, N.Y. one nephew, Michael Roina of NH. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Tuesday, 9 AM-11:30 AM. Funeral Mass, Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, N.Y. at 12 noon. Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of your choice, would be appreciated.
