Herbert A. Steinberg passed away on July 28, 2023 after a short illness. He was 93 years old. He was married to Bernice Steinberg of New York City, who died in 2017.
Dr. Steinberg leaves behind two children: Terry, age 64, and David, age 57.
Dr. Steinberg's most well known contribution to his career in computer graphics was creating the computer code for the lightcycle race in the 1982 film TRON.
