Helen K. McMorrow

Helen Karlene Ruger McMorrow passed away peacefully on November 30th, 2018, at age 98, at The Grove nursing home in Valhalla, New York. She was a lifetime resident of White Plains, NY and was married to the now deceased Patrick McMorrow. Helen is survived by two loving daughters, Cathy Glass and Margaret McMorrow and their husbands Jeffrey Glass and Bradford Harding. She has one beloved granddaughter, Kasey Glass, whom she adored and thought of as her best friend. Helen was a devoted sister to her four siblings, all now deceased, Robert, Jack, and Henry Ruger and Margaret Salls, and she was a spirited and loving presence to her eleven surviving nieces and nephews. Helen was known as a talented and passionate artist, who appreciated life in color, and excelled at decorating, fashion, arts & crafts, and painting. She loved traveling, a great party, a good dinner out, and all local tag sales. But, above all, Helen loved being with her family and her West Highland Terriers, which were considered her blessed and invaluable treasures. Helen will be missed daily for her boundless energy, individualism, evident style, love of family, innate talent, and strength of character. Her cherished earthly footprints are now made of countless fun and loving memories that will last a lifetime. Helen's remains and her eternal spirit will be laid to rest in a private family service at the White Plains Presbyterian Church on Sunday, December 9th.
