Grace Errigo

Grace Errigo of Hartsdale, NY died peacefully on October 20, 2021.  She was 86.  Grace was born on August 28, 1935 in Archi, Reggio Di Calabria, Italy to Demetrio and Giuseppina Errigo.  She was one of five children, including Joseph, Vincent, Victoria, and Joanne.  She migrated to the U.S. with her sister Joanne in 1953, settled close to her brothers in Washington D.C. and became a U.S. citizen.  In 1956, she returned to Italy for her sister’s wedding.  During that time, she met Paolo Errigo whom she married on July 8, 1956.  They were married 49 years until his passing in 2005.  They settled in Port Chester, NY in 1968 with their two children Demetrio (Karen) Errigo and Giovanna (Patrick) Meenan and moved to Hartsdale, NY in 1992.

Grace was a seamstress for many years and lastly a menswear tailor, retiring in 2000.

She is survived by her children, three grandchildren, Michael, Sean, and Ryan, two sisters-in-law, Angela Errigo of Maryland and Caterina Campolo of Italy and many nieces and nephews.  Her children were her pride and joy and her grandchildren, the light of her life.

Family and togetherness meant the world to Grace.  She will always remain in our hearts and will be best remembered for her unconditional love, support, and the strength she displayed to everyone who were lucky enough to have known her. Rest in God's eternal peace.  Amen.
