Gilbert Selwyn Parker
March 30, 1928 — August 3, 2014
Gilbert Selwyn Parker passed on August 3 at the age of 86 after a lengthy illness. Dr. Parker received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1947 and Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1949, both from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his Ph.D in Engineering from Columbia University in 1964. After serving in the Army Corps of Engineers, Dr. Parker spent most of his career at IBM. He is survived by his loving sons Jeffrey Parker and Christopher Parker.
