Gertrude K. Gumbs

Gertrude K. Gumbs 91, of Hawthorne, N.Y. died on Oct.3,2022. She was born on Jan.13,1931 to the late Leonard and Erna Durr in Rothenburg, Germany. Gertrude was predeceased by her devoted husband, Ronald S. Gumbs in 2004 and one brother, Fritz Durr. She is survived by her two loving sons, Howard Gumbs of Delancey, N.Y. and Kenneth (Stephanie) Gumbs of Thornwood, N.Y. one brother, Karl Durr and one sister, Mary Louise Brand both of Rothenburg, Germany. Also survived by her two cherished grandchildren, David and Gwenneth Gumbs and one great grandson, Edward Bento. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Thursday, Oct.6,2022 from 4:00 PM-8:30 PM. Where Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations to The American Cancer Society, would be appreciated.
