Frank Ackermann

Frank Ackermann, 87, of Hawthorne, NY died August 9, 2021 at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s and brain cancer.  He was born October 17, 1933 in Batsch, Yugoslavia to Frank and Magdalena Ackermann.  He was owner of a family owned business, Automotive Upholstery in Tuckahoe, NY.  He served in the US Navy from 1957-1959.  Mr. Ackermann is predeceased by his loving wife Jutta Ackermann.  Frank is survived by a daughter, Belinda Ackermann of Hawthorne, NY and a son, Ron Ackermann and wife Linda of Thornwood, NY.  Also survived by three cherished grandchildren, Ashley Goldfuss, Ryan and Layla Ackermann. He is also survived by his brother, Ed Ackermann and wife Judy of Belleville, Il. Visiting at Hawthorne Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 from 4-8 PM. Entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y.  on Wednesday, 10:30 AM.
