Flora Magliari

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our Mom, Flora Magliari. Flora passed peacefully at home, surrounded by her loved ones on May 25th, she was 98 years young.

She was born to the late Raymond and Lauretta Mastroianni of White Plains, NY on December 13th, 1927.

She married John Magliari on Oct. 12, 1947 and together they had 7 children.

Flora worked tirelessly as a waitress for many years. After finishing her career as a waitress she cared for 2 children, William and Katie Sanders, from birth through high school and beyond! Needless to say they were like grandchildren to her, she loved them as if they were her own.

Flora had a love for birds and flowers and had countless pets over the years. She also had a small obsession with The Wizard of Oz and Pinocchio! Playing cards with her girlfriends every Tuesday night was one of her favorite pastimes. Always with a smile, that was our mom! People had an incredible attraction to her, anyone who met her fell in love with her almost immediately. It would be an understatement to say she will be missed by many.

Flora was predeceased by her husband, John(1979), her son, Baby Johnnie(1957) and her daughter, Laurane(2014). She is survived by her daughters, Dawn Magliari of Thornwood, NY and Janice Palladino (Ralph) of Slate Hill, NY and 3 sons Paul Magliari of Peekskill, NY, Robert Magliari (Roxanne) of Chappaqua, NY and Ronald Magliari of White Plains, NY. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, John, Isabelle, Lauren, Ashton, Samantha, Jack, Sidney and Mila and 3 great grandchildren, Calvin, Cora and Jules.

All are welcome to attend a Burial Service at Mount Calvary Cemetery 575 Hillside Ave, White Plains NY on Wednesday, June 3rd at 11:30 AM and then a lunch to celebrate her life at Tesoro D'Italia Restaurant 160 Marble Ave Pleasantville, NY
