Felix “Phil” Carpenito passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 after recently celebrating his 70th birthday. Phil was born and raised in White Plains, New York. As much as Phil loved New York, he loved his food even more. “You better not even think about serving me meatballs without sauce!!” Just as it was joked about at his 70th birthday; Phil was the original grouch, and the most loveable grouch of them all! He will deeply be missed by his many friends and family. Phil was predeceased by his mother, Ana Maria Cruz and father, Felix Carpenito. He is survived by his three siblings; Leonard Carpenito, Anthony Carpenito and Kookie Carpenito. Survivors also include his three sons; Joseph Carpenito, Phil Carpenito & Eugene Carpenito, and his five grandchildren; Joseph Carpenito, Marissa Carpenito, Samantha Carpenito, Dominick Carpenito and Jake Carpenito, of Florida, and many loving nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 from 5pm-9pm at Hawthorne Funeral Home, 21 West Stevens Avenue, Hawthorne.
