Erna Krueger

Erna Krueger, beloved Mother, Aunt and Oma, 87, of Rye Brook, N.Y. and formerly of Hawthorne, N.Y.  died peacefully on June 10, 2020 surrounded by her family.  She was born on February 27, 1933 in Bessarabia, a German settlement, located in what is now Romania to Georg and Lidia Reiner.  Erna and her husband immigrated from Germany in 1957 and settled in Hawthorne, NY.

She worked for Kraft/General Foods as a Food Specialist in their Test Kitchens for over 30 years until her retirement.  Erna passed away in Saarland, Germany where she was cremated and returned to be buried aside her devoted husband Alfred in Kensico Cemetery.

Erna is survived by her Sons Reiner Krueger of Rye Brook, NY and Kenneth Krueger of Stuttgart, Germany.  She is also survived by her Daughter-In-Law Rebecca and grandchildren Amelie and Cecilia.

Visiting at Hawthorne Funeral Home on Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2021 from 11 AM-12 Noon, where Funeral Services will take place at 12 Noon. Interment to follow at Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, N.Y.
