Emil P. Scrobe 95, of Hawthorne, N.Y. died on June 22,2017 at his residence. He was born on Oct.26,1921 to the late John and Aurora Scrobe in NYC. He proudly served in the US Army during WWII. Emil was a retired Postal Clerk with the General Post Office in NYC. He was inducted into the Stickball Hall of Fame in 2011 and loved, Family, Baseball, and the Country also loved telling jokes and playing pool and was a card shark. Emil is survived by his devoted wife, Alice (nee Zimmer) Scrobe of Hawthorne, N.Y. and by his loving children, Andrew (Heidi) Scrobe of Wappingers Falls, N.Y., Christopher (Bridget) Scrobe of Chester, N.Y. and Susan (Charlie) Ortiz of Hawthorne, N.Y. one brother, Edward J. Scrobe of Briarcliff Manor, N.Y. also survived by his 12 cherished grandchildren; Andrew, James, Brianne, Alexandra, Kelly, Jennifer, Ciara, Veronica, Steven, Emily, Christianna and Victoria. Predeceased by one brother,John Scrobe. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Sunday, 3-7 PM. Funeral Service, Trinity Lutheran Church, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Monday, 10:30 AM. Interment, Rose Hill Memorial Park, Putman Valley, N.Y. In lieu of flowers donations to Mended Swords 19 Nancy Road Brewster, N.Y. 10509 would be appreciated.
