Elizabeth Griffin

Elizabeth Griffin, affectionately known as “Wi”, of Elmsford, NY left us peacefully on May 23, 2024, surrounded by family. She was 73 years old.

Elizabeth was born in Yonkers, NY on May 26, 1950, to George and Katherine (Burton) Baker(deceased). She had three siblings: Jack Nemec (Marie), Robert Nemec (Phyllis)(deceased) and Michael Baker (Patty).

She married her “hunk of a man”, Richard Griffin on October 18, 1969. They moved to Elmsford, NY in 1978 to raise their three children.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband Richard and her loving children Cathy Volpicelli (Ronald), Christine Griffin and Richard Griffin (Kerry). She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren Julianne Volpicelli, Jack Volpicelli, Sullivan Griffin, Genevieve Griffin and Kelly Griffin.

Visitation will be held at Ballard-Durand of Elmsford, 72 East Main Street, Elmsford, NY 10523 on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, from 4-8pm where a funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM.
