Donald Foster

Donald F. Foster passed away on January 17, 2026, at the age of 87.

A longtime resident of Schuyler Lake (Richfield Springs), New York. He was born in the Bronx, New York on December 24, 1938 to Stanley and Mary Foster. He lived in the Bronx until 1999, when he moved near Cooperstown, where he would call home for his last 26 years.

Donald was an avid hunter, fisherman and NY Giants fan. He was a true outdoorsman. A dog lover, always owning a dog or two, until he was unable to. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Donald was one of the most generous people you would ever meet.

He is survived by his nephew, Billy, niece, Susan (Arthur), great nephew, Jake and great niece, Emily, as well as some very dear friends who were always there to lend a helping hand. He is predeceased by his father, Stanley, mother, Mary and brothers, John, William and Stanley.
