Dolores Guiddy

Dolores “Dee” Donna Guiddy, age 86 of Scarsdale, NY passed away on July 7, 2024. Years ago she owned her own donut shop in the Hamlet of Valhalla, NY. She was an incredible baker and also worked in the bakery department of a grocery store. She was an avid animal lover especially of dogs as she’s had many and she also enjoyed all the dogs in her apartment complex. She was a gentle soul with a kind heart and was loved by many. She enjoyed spending time with her family, spending holidays, celebrating every birthday, having dinners together, going shopping and also celebrating her great nieces’ milestones. She also enjoyed spending time with her many friends as she would spend hours with them and also shopping the local stores. She was born on October 26, 1937 in Pennsylvania. She is the daughter of the late Violet Cavalier. She is survived by her brother John and his wife Gerri; her nephew John; her nieces Elizabeth and Toni and her husband Anthony; and her great nieces Brianna and Julia. In the past year or so she enjoyed reading and would read almost a book a day. Her nieces and Anthony say they are extremely grateful for the years that they had with her and they will miss her sense of humor, her witty personality and most of all spending time with her.

 Memorial Visitation on Sunday, July 21, 2024 from 1 – 4 p.m. at Hawthorne Funeral Home, 21 West Stevens Avenue, Hawthorne, New York. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any ASPCA chapter in your area, would be appreciated.
