David F. Wilshin (96) passed away peacefully on Saturday, Oct 10th.
Born on November 23, 1929, David grew up on the Upper West Side, graduated from the University of Miami, and went on to live in Westchester and Arizona.
David was happily married for 57 years to his wife Barbara, with whom he traveled to over 100 countries. He had a remarkable memory until the very end and lived life to the fullest as a real estate entrepreneur, golfer, art collector, philanthropist, and backgammon player, even winning a world championship in Monte Carlo at age 91. He never lost his curiosity, competitive spirit, knack for numbers, or his love of family and friends.
He is survived by his daughters Lori Reinsberg (John) and Wendy Wilshin (Ron), as well as five grandchildren.
