David Mills

David Mills born and raised in White Plains passed away after a long illness. He was 74 years old. He is survived by his wife Beth and son Steven.  He was predeceased by his father Robert and mother Eleanor.

David was a long-time, active member The White Plains Presbyterian Church. He was a Deacon and served on various committees.

David attended St. Andrews Presbyterian College, Hunter College and received his Master of Library Service from Rutgers University. David spent most of his professional life working first for the John C. Hart Memorial Library in Yorktown, NY, followed by decades at the Brooklyn Public Library from which he retired.  With his father having served as president of the Friends of the White Plains Library, and Beth employed by the New Rochelle Public Library, David once proudly described "a library tradition in our family."

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022  at 11:00 a.m. at The White Plains Presbyterian Church, 39 No. Broadway, White Plains, NY.  A Zoom connection to the service may be available.  Contact the church 914-761-8585 for details.
