Carol R. Mark (nee Reck), a highly respected lawyer, pillar of the community and resident of White Plains for over 23 years, succumbed to a long-fought illness on October 4th, 2022, at 79 years of age.
She was raised in Croydon, PA where she attended Bishop Egan High School and continued her studies at Elizabeth Seton College, earning an A.A. in 1977, then Iona College, earning a B.A. in 1979 and finally to Western New England College School of Law, earning her J.D. in 1982.
Carol, along with her law partner Richard Ross had a law practice in Mt. Vernon, NY. They helped many people with many types of legal matters. She was constantly building relationships with people, which helped her build a large network of connections, which she gratefully shared continuously to help others. She built a life she loved filled with clients and long-term friends, and clients that became long-term friends, from her hard work, tenacity, and dedication. She practiced law for over 30 years.
Carol loved to live life. She visited many countries on her own to explore and with her many friends. She supported The Arts with many different supporting memberships and attending Broadway shows. She supported local businesses. She loved spending time with her friends, eating out at restaurants, going to antique stores and markets, and staying up to date on the latest fashion trends. She had many friends around the world who loved her.
Carol was a wonderfully unique woman who will be missed dearly by everyone that knew her. Carol loved her family dearly and constantly talked about them with such pride on all their accomplishments over the years.
Carol is pre-deceased by her mother Marcella, father John Reck, and her law partner Richard Ross. She is survived by her sister Patricia Bendler (nee Reck) and her husband Robert Bendler, her niece Bethany and nephew Jeremy Bendler, his wife Kelly Bendler, and her great nephews Jake and Kasey Bendler.
