Carlos Maldonado

Carlos Maldonado, 75, passed away on January 16, 2026, at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Florida.

He was born on September 4, 1950, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, to Maria Padilla and Baltazar Maldonado. He was the eldest of four siblings, followed by his brother Eddie and his sisters, Carmen and Evelisa.

Carlos was raised in New York, where he became the father of two children, Christopher and Lori Lynn. Later in life, he moved to Florida, where he raised his son Daniel and welcomed the birth of his daughter, Alyssa. Throughout his life, Carlos was known as a devoted father, a reliable friend, and a man who never allowed obstacles to stand between him and his goals.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Maria and Baltazar Maldonado; his brother Eddie; his sister Carmen; and his son Daniel.

He is survived by his sister, Evelisa; his children, Christopher, Lori Lynn, and Alyssa; his grandchildren, Benjamin, Joshua, Leah, Halina, and Elowyn; and many extended family members and friends who will miss him deeply.

Carlos spent his professional life working as an insurance agent and broker. He had a genuine passion for finance and was committed to continually improving himself in his field. Independent and hardworking by nature, these values defined his life and remained with him until the very end. His legacy is one of work ethic, perseverance, service to his family, and unwavering dedication to providing for those he loved.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, January 24 at 9 am at Ballard-Durand Funeral Home (72 East Main St. Elmsford, NY 10523) followed by his burial at Mount Hope Cemetery (50 Jackson Ave, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY 10706)
