Barbara Jean Ryan

Barbara Ryan's love of life didn’t come to an end with her passing – it will live on through each of us who she touched with her love, care, laughter and light. Barbara died on August 9, 2021 at the age of 45 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.

Barbara worked as a labor and delivery nurse and a Doula before she found her true calling as a lactation consultant. In 3 short years after passing her Lactation Consultant Board Exam, she was running a successful business. Barbara cared so deeply about the mothers and babies that she proudly served, and she shared this passion by volunteering her time to support mothers from all walks of life, in addition to always showing up for her family and friends whenever they needed her.

In addition to her profound love of family, the simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Barbara. She loved to travel –#whereintheworldisbarbara. She stayed active, explored the local hiking trails, trekked the mountains in Vermont, found beauty in the spring wildflowers and enjoyed the beaches she frequented around the world, especially Hawaii. She had an uncanny ability to find happiness in her daily activities and her magnetic personality was contagious to everyone she met. She was warm, like a comfortable blanket, to all.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Len; daughter, Caleigh; father, Kevin; mother, Denise, step father, Louie, step mother, Linda, brothers, Shad and Kenny, and sister, Rachel, along with many loving cousins, in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends who are like family.

A private ceremony will be held for the Ryan and Baldino families. A public celebration of Barbara’s life will be held at a later date and at that point we will share her favorite

foundations where donations can be made in lieu of flowers.
