Aurelia Masarsky, 93, of Eastchester, passed away peacefully on September 3, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born to Andrew and Eleanor Gheszi on May 11, 1933 in Manhattan. As a young girl, she and her younger sister Alice moved in with their Grandparents, Aunts, and Cousins to Morris Park where she would live for over 40 years. She married her first husband Joseph Agate with whom she had her two boys. Aurelia lovingly raised her two sons, Andrew and Michael in the Bronx. Her door was always open to anyone who needed a meal or a compassionate ear. In 1970, she married her second husband Seymour Masarsky after a long and fateful courtship. In addition to being a devoted mom, she worked as an executive secretary for Hertz Rent a Car. Her passions were family, food, and reading, specifically Stephen King's novels. Everyone who knew her will remember her as a kind, loving, bright, and funny woman who accepted everyone with open arms. She is survived by her devoted sons, her grateful daughter-in-law Karen, and her beloved granddaughter Danielle. In Aurelia's memory, her family would like donations to be sent to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.
