Anne Torrieri

Anne Torrieri 96, of White Plains, N.Y. and formerly of Yonkers and Bronx, N.Y. died on May 9, 2025 at a rehabilitation and nursing facility in White Plains, N.Y. She was born on October 21,1928 to the late Luigi and Felicia (DiGirolamo) Taraborrelli in the Bronx, N. Y.. Anne (nee Taraborrelli) Torrieri of White Plains, N.Y. was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Gino Torrieri. Anne is survived by her loving children, Louis (Irene) Torrieri of Pleasantville, N.Y., Anthony (Victoria) Torrieri of Hawthorne, N.Y. and by her three cherished grandchildren, Jeffrey (Melissa), John and Stefanie, as well as her three great grandchildren, Jeffrey Daniel, Sophia and Zoe. Anne was predeceased by her sister Antoinette and by her two grandchildren, Michael and Matthew.

Anne was known to all who met her as a loving, caring, religious and compassionate individual. Growing up, she was an avid swimmer who won medals in high school competitions. She started working after high school as a dress maker. Shortly thereafter she worked in New York city as a secretary. As her children grew up, she returned to the workplace and had a very successful career in banking, rising to the level of branch manager for a major bank before she retired. Anne spent time volunteering for the Gli Amici Italian-America Club, Church functions, and the American Legion with her husband Gino, a WWII veteran. She loved cooking, baking, knitting and above all spending time with family. Anne will be missed by all who knew her.
