Angelina Bruno

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Angelina Bruno, who left us peacefully on February 17th, 2024, at the age of 89. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose presence brought joy and warmth to all who knew her.

Born Angelina Chilelli in Cerisano, Calabria, on July 15, 1934, she married the love of her life, Francesco Bruno, on April 15, 1951. Together, they immigrated to the United States on December 23, 1969. She worked relentlessly to provide a good life for her children and their families. In her later years, she was blessed to spend time living with all three of her children, who loved her endlessly. Angelina was a woman of immense strength, grace, and kindness, with a heart as big as her love for her family. We will all miss her warm presence, big hugs and hearing her say “Bella di Nonna”. 

Angelina is survived by her devoted children, Vincenzo Bruno (Maria), Maria Rogliano (Luigi) and Lucia Troia (Joseph), loving grandchildren Joseph, Frank, Luigi, Anthony, Giovanni, Marco, Angela and Roberto, and affectionate great-grandchildren Matthew, Benjamin, Madalena, Vincenzo, Giuliana, Francesca,  Luigi, Ava, Leonardo, Olivia, Stella, Giovanni, Luca, Valentina and Mila. 

A wake will be held on Tuesday, February 20th, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Calendar Ballard-Durand Funeral & Cremation Services, 2 Maple Ave, White Plains, NY 10601.  A Mass of Christian Burial for Angelina will be celebrated on February 21st, 2024, at the Church of St. Anthony of Padua in West Harrison, NY, at 10:00 am. 

Angelina Bruno will be deeply missed but will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love and memories she created during her remarkable life.
