Our dearest, Angelee “Jean” Williams, passed away on September 14th, 2025 in White Plains, NY. She was born on the 21st of February, 1944 in Kingston, Jamaica to Ugent and Pearl Williams. Angelee spent her early years between Jamaica and London, England and then ultimately relocated to White Plains, New York.
Angelee’s joy of her life was family. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt, sister, neighbor and friend. She was the loving mother of Michelle and Michael Barton; adoring grandmother of Keri-Ann Tamika Barton Duffus, Maya Indigo Barton, and Myles Michael Barton; and great-grandmother to Mikaylia Soleil Duffus, and Konnor Tatum Brayden Duffus. Angelee was lovingly known as “Grandma Jean” from neighboring children because she so warm heartedly gave her mothering affection to all who knew her.
Angelee will always be remembered for her generous heart, her witty humor and her knack for advice giving. She was the softest shoulder to lean on and truly embodied the word “friend”. She loved spending time with family, listening to reggae music, heartfelt conversations with friends close and far, and most importantly watching her beloved sport of tennis. Angelee will be cherished in the memories, and stories of all who had the pleasure to know her. She will be forever missed by all.
