Amy E. Stoveland 90, of Bronx, N.Y. died on August 9, 2018. She was born on Feb. 2, 1928 to the late William and Amy Smead in Bronx, N.Y. She was a graduate of Christopher Columbus High School and later became a secretary for most of her adult life. She was a former Girl Scout Leader, Neighborhood Mom, then later grandma to everyone. Predeceased by her first husband, John Schurmann in 1992 and her second husband, Ed Stoveland. Amy is survived by her loving children, Steve (Ann) Schurmann of Monroe, N.Y., Susan (Charlie) Schurmann-Bush of Palm Coast, FL., Marie (Bob) Milo and Paul (Sue) Stoveland. Also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Jennette Bush, Melissa (Michael) Miller, Matthew J. Schurmann, William Schurmann, Danielle Stoveland, Brian P. Bush, Matthew E. Stammel and Brian (Jess) Johnson. and great grandchildren, Adriel, Joshua, Demetri, Alyssa and Hunter Bush. Also survived by her friends, Phyllis and Ralph Martello and Mona and Bob Lynch. Predeceased by her brothers, William and Edmund, Smead and friend, Alice Lagerman. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Thursday, August 23, 2018, 9:30 AM- 11:15 AM. Graveside Services, Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, N.Y. at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers donations to either, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, TN or Smile Train would be appreciated.
