July 5, 1963 — September 9, 2022

Unadilla, N.Y.

Alois J Zach, age 59, of Unadilla, NY passed away unexpectedly on September 9, 2022, in his home.  Alois J Zach was born in Flushing, NY on July 5, 1963.  He earned a bachelor’s degree in Toxicology from St. Johns University, and was the supervisor of a medical testing lab.  Alois’ pride was that he was a self-taught musician and played in his band, Al Zach .  When he wasn’t playing guitar he would write books.  Alois was a published author with two novels, Megalonyx and Esmerelda .   With his partner for over 20 years, Teri Cristofaro, they enjoyed a hobby farm with geese, ducks & chickens, and the country landscape of the Susquehanna River and mountains in the backyard.  The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Alois.  He loved music and a good read.  He was a kind soul and an animal lover.  He will forever be in our hearts and will never be forgotten.   Alois J Zach is survived by his mother, Rosalia Zach (nee Stoicsits);  two brothers Frank Zach and George Zach; his sister, Maryann Porobija, his partner, Terri Cristofaro; his two sister-in-law’s,  Eleanor Zach and Lisa Zach, his brother-n-law, Harold Porobija; his nieces and nephews, Leora Zach Youssef, Elias Youssef, Stephen Porobija, Michael Porobija, George Zach, Nicholas Zach and Christina Zach, and his great-nephews, Benjamin Zach Youssef, Andrew Zach Youssef and William Zach Youssef.
